LPL have been chosen through our clients supply chain, to take part in workshops funded by the DTI through CIRIA to provide a better understanding of enviromental issues

in the construction industry.

LPL completion of the series of workshops is phases 1-3 of accreditation to BS8555.

LPL have made significant progress with our environmental plan, making considerable investment in recycling plant and machinery to enable processes to recover 'waste' and reduce the burden to landfill.

Audited results based on year to Dec 2005 shows a reduction to landfill because of our recycling processes of  90.30%.

Audited figures just completed for year to Dec 2006 show a remarkably similar result of reduction to landfill because of recycling processes of  88.96%.

Results do not account for lorry movements for harmless inert material (clean muck away) directly to approved tip.

This achievement remains commercially viable as recycled materials including timber, crushed sub base material and topsoil is currently required on most of our construction projects in favour of new or quarried materials.
